The Google Chrome browser has long been my favorite browser, it is simple, quick and easy to use. Despite this I sill found myself using Firefox a huge amount, simply because off all the addons I could use in conjunction with it, to make my life easier. I literally missed not having Google Chrome Addons.
Well now the time has come, with Google Chrome Extensions, we can finally use Google Chrome Addons to improve our browsing experience and improve upon our productivity. Google Chrome Addons provide nearly unlimited functionality, and help you to pick and choose your Google Chrome extensions to help your internet browser do what you want it to do, without cluttering up the interface!
Google Chrome Addons are easy to install, and even easier to use, which is why I am going to give you a rundown of the best chrome addons you can get!

A proxy server may not be for everyone, but for those who use things such as Megavideo or Rapidshare, may find this nifty little tool a great way to get around the time limits!
A proxy server basically hides your IP address, so you can also use it for anonymous surfing, or you could fake the IP address of a certain country. using the IP address of another country comes in particularly helpful if you want to know how to use Pandora outside America!

I do not really use twitter that much myself, I can kinda see its benefits, but Facebook is what I tend to use!

Google maps is by far one of the most useful applications, and this simple Chrome addon save you that little bit of work, copying and pasting the address. Select to Get Maps is well programmed to detect if you have selected an address.
If it detects that you have selected an address then it comes up with a small box containing a link, which will instantly take you to a map of the area. This is an incredibly simple concept, but also incredibly useful, After a week of using it, I already miss it when I am using Firefox.

Out of all the things missing in basic Chrome release, the most complained about was the lack of a simple AdBlocker. Fortunately with the release of Google Chrome Extensions came a fully functional adblock which will make your Chrome surfing advert free!
AdBlock does also come with some great little features, and as far as I am aware, it is the only chrome extension which allows you to choose whether or not a button is displayed by your address bar!
If you are looking for a way to remove adverts, tehn this is by far the best Chrome extension!

1) Google Chrome Session Manager Addon
So this might not be in everybody's number one spot, but to me the Google Chrome Extension, Session Manager, is by far the most useful of the Google Chrome Addons. It allows me to save a window state, allowing me to close down, and come back to it days later.
This great simple tool may not have much to it, but its usefulness brings it straight to the number one spot of my best Chrome Extensions list!
While this Chrome addon may not be useful to everyone, in my day to day research I find this addon to be the most useful Chrome extension created so far!

Google Chrome is a fantastic browser, but I too had been switching back and forth between that and Firefox. Now that Google Chrome has recently released the extension functionality (I'm working on a Mac, so the extensions were just enabled), I am switching less and less. I also agree with many of your selections. I also especially like the session manager addon.
Absolutely fascinating and superb Hub. I have never used Google Chrome either but you certainly present an excellent case for me thinking about doing so.
I'm currently in the process of switching over to using Google Chrome, so I'm going to give many of these addons a try.

Google Chrome is well worth the switch, remember that you are not just limited to Chrome though, I find Chrome is fantastic for research, but I still use Firefox quite a lot for my day to day work!

Very nice Hub, good list of Add-ons for Google Chrome, I tend to stay away from Chrome because I'm paranoid about "big brother" watching my every move. :)
Great list. didnot know about the ProxySwitchy available for Chrome.
Some other addons I use are offcourse Xmarks, MouseGestures, Autopagerize.

I have seen Google Chrome for a while, but didn't know why I should bother to use it. You have broken down its' features nicely!
If you are unsure about google chrome just install it and try using it for a few weeks!

Google chrome is best browser. It is so user friendly and secure too. I found translation add on's and Google map add on really useful. I guess all those additional features in new release version are awesome and make Google chrome more popular.
I really like the proxy one as I'm always switching between the proxies at home and else where...thnx great hub. :)
There is an other addon unmisable, an addon to send SMS and MMS video (webcam recorded video, or from Youtube).

I just recently started using chrome, mostly for banking and things like that. I still use firefox for most things but some of these addons sound pretty neat and just may convert me.
ScribeFire will fit in this list. It is in beta for the moment for Chrome browser but it is an must have.

SEO toosl for chromes is the one I use the most. I still miss many of the great programming add-ons that are available for mozilla.

Downloaded chrome but not used in full fledge.
I am still with firefox because adding add ons and testing them is time consuming.
May be I will try all this add on when I will be in my vacation.

I use the SEOMoz toolbar for my ESO, that is not quite as useful if you are not a pro member though!
Wow.... Nice and detail stuffs about google chrome! It great to see that you are using goggle chrome extensively. I am still kind of undecisive about the best internet browsers. I have moved to apple recently and therefore, safari is sort of my main browser. No doubt that chrome is becoming more and more popular. However, when i first used it, there were some incompatibility issues with some of the websites that i regularly browsed. I wonder if that's still the case. Nevertheless, i shall try it some time again as i am quite fed up with IE9 and firefox on my pc, though i haven't upgrade to the latest firefox.
