Introduction to the Best Disney Movies Ever

This is part two of the Best Disney films ever made, starting off where the last on left off, with the first of the best Disney movies in 1970, the Aristocats. Both the 70s' and 80s' seemed to be pretty slow decades for Disney hits. Despite this some absolute classics were spawned, most of which generated years of nostalgia to all that viewed them

The best Disney movies are always the classics, and while these decades may not have produced the most classic Disney films ever, the ones that did make it have remained in the hearts of millions.

I personally have been a big fan of the Disney movies my whole life, their twists of humor, feel good endings and well made story lines make for a fantastic movie. Each Disney film has had years of work put in to it, ensuring realistic movement, endearing characters and intriguing plot lines.

Each Disney movie is an instant classic, with huge enterntainment value, making them the best children's films ever made, and still entertaining for adults too!

We have plenty of Disney films from different eras, including some of the most recent Children's Disney films like UP!, which captures the minds of adults and children alike with it's absolutely amazing storyline which will rend the heart of any adult that watches this Disney Film!

The Best Disney Films Ever!

The Aristocats is the first of my best disney movies from the 70s'!
The Aristocats is the first of my best disney movies from the 70s'!

The Aristocats

The Aristocats is the last of the Disney films related to Walt Disney, as he approved this film before his death. This is why this was the last film to be labelled with 'A Walt Disney Production' before it was changed to 'Walt Disney Productions'.

This is a wonderful piece of history, but the film itself is also incredibly well made. Aristocats follows the story of a family of cats who inherit a small fortune from their rich owner. The woman charges the Butler Edgar to look after the cats until they die, at which point he will become the owner of the massive fortune.

Edgar hears that cats have 9 lives, and figures out that this means they will live longer than him, so He will never get the inheritance.  This greed leads Edgar to try and dispose of the Aristocats, with the help of some loveable characters however the Aristocats manage to escape and a thrilling tale unwinds in this brilliant Disney movie.

A mix of real actors and Disney animation in this feature film!

Bedknobs and Broomsticks bring sanimation to real life film in what was often known as the unrelated sequel to Mary Poppins!
Bedknobs and Broomsticks bring sanimation to real life film in what was often known as the unrelated sequel to Mary Poppins!

Bedknobs and Broomsticks

Bedknobs and Broomsticks is often referred to as the unrelated sequel to Mary Poppins, its creative mixture of animation and real life video were close to unprecedented at the time, although it may look dated by today's standards.

Bedknobs and Broomsticks is an entertaining Disney film revolving around witchcraft and adventure.  Filled with Witches, Criminals, and the ravages of mid war europe, a description of this film might seem more adult targetted.  However this fantastic cheap Disney film is a great way to entertain children, and yourselves.

Bedknobs and Broomsticks is not, to be honest, one of my favorite films. It is however undisputedly one of the all time greatest Disney movies. Its technological prowess, its detailed storyline, and it's lovable characters really do give the viewer a lot of what is missing in many of todays modern films!

My All Tme Favorite Disney Film

Robin Hood is by far one of the Greatest Disney Films made in the 70s'.
Robin Hood is by far one of the Greatest Disney Films made in the 70s'.

Robin Hood

Robin Hood is probably one of the greatest known heroes in English history, although his actual existence is often disputed.  Nevertheless, his tales of valour, stealing form the rich to give to the poor, makes an incredible story for children and adults alike. Ever since I saw this movie (A VHS as well!) It has stuck in my mind as one of the greatest Disney movies of all time.

While it replaces the characters with animal versions of the original Robin Hood crew, and the story may have been changed a little, the Disney Robin Hood has created a fantastic cartoon version of this wonderful tale. The Disney Version of Robin Hood is the perfect gift for children, and it's entertaining story, fun filled characters, and amusing evil villains make for a wonderful Disney movie.

As the cunning fox Robin Hood sets out to win his bride and save the people in Sherwood from the evil Sheriff of Nottingham he goes through a myriad of adventures to save the day, and his wide. This is my all time favorite Disney film, and definately one of the greatest Disney films of all time.

The Top Disney Film

The Rescuers brings some helpful mice to the rescue of a kidnapped orphan!
The Rescuers brings some helpful mice to the rescue of a kidnapped orphan!

The Rescuers

Out of all the Best Disney films the fairly unique rescuers follows a rather dark plot of a kidnapped orphan forced to search for a diamond down an old pirates smugglers cove. The Rescuers are a commitee of mice from around the world, tasked with offering help to all those require it, ever since the first mouse pulled the thorn out of the lions paw.

This classic Disney film contains all the action, adventure, and loveable Disney characters which have made the Disney brand so successful, This is one of the best Disney films of my childhood, and has a unique sense of adventure, although that is nothing compared to it's sequel!

Disney's has lived up to it's expectations with one of the best Disney movies ever made!

Children's Disney Movie

Pete's Dragon is a great childrens Disney movie!
Pete's Dragon is a great childrens Disney movie!

Pete's Dragon

Pete's Dragon is mostly a real life filmed Disney Movie, all that is apart from Pete's Dragon, a creature which can nearly always be seen solely by Pete himself. Pete's Dragon is named Elliot, a surprisingly common name in Disney films, and helps protect Pete.

A fun filled adventure and mishap brings this delightful film to the endearing eyes of adults and children alike. Pete's Dragon follows Pete, a young orphan, as he runs away from his adoptive parents, who are forcing him to work on their farm. However Pete escapes, and adventures the world with Elliot, keeping away from his foster parents, who are loathe to work on the farm themselves.

Due to elliots clumsyness, pete becomes an omen of bad luck, and soon becomes the cause of all the villagers problems. As the story progresses though, the young boy becomes a loved part of his new community, and with the help of Elliot they save the day for everyone, and chase off his Evil Foster Parents in this thrilling Disney Movie!

80s' Disney Films

TRON us an iconic 80s Disney Film!
TRON us an iconic 80s Disney Film!

Tron

Tron is one of the earliest real 'geek films' to have been released, and it is still well known by many even today.  This is one of the best Disney films of the 80s' with an intricate story line, a power mad security program that wants to take over the world,

The Disney movie Tron focuses on Kevin Flynn, a software programmer for ENCOM.   Flynn creates some fantastic games for the companny, however another programmer named Dillinger locks Flynn out of the companies network, and claims Flynn's work as his own.

The following Disney film is a complex plot of twists and turns, as the Master Computer Program decides that it should be running the country, and blackmails the now powerful Dillinger in to preventing further monitoring software (A program called Tron had been created), allowing the MCP to take over the Pentagon.

As Flynn searches for some kind of proof that hsi work was stolen he is digitized in to the MCP program, where he must face a series of trails and adventures in this fanastic original Disney film Tron!

The Best Disney Film of the 80s

The flight of the navigator brings top notch special effects to a brilliant Disney movie!
The flight of the navigator brings top notch special effects to a brilliant Disney movie!

The Flight of the Navigator

The Flight of the Navigator is one of those Disney movies which never did too well at the cinemas.  Since then however the iconic Disney film The Flight of the Navigator has become a regular Disney TV classic, and is one of the most common VHS Disney Videos to appear in collections around the world.

I am a great fan of this top Disney film, and I am actually quite worried about how Disney are going to create the remake they have planned (Please do not ruin my childhood memories Disney!)

The Flight of the Navigator follows a young boy called David, who one day finds himself transported eight years in to the future.  Around the same time David reappears, still as a small boy, a spaceship crash lands in to some electrical pylons, and is taken by the US army to a nearby base.  When the army learns of Davids mysterious circumstances they take him to a base, where they find he has a mysterious affiliation with this strange spacecraft, which David soon escapes in, for a wonderful Disney adventure!

Top Disney Movie

Fantastic combination of animation and real life acting in Disney's Who Framed Roger Rabbit, one of the best Disney Films of all time!
Fantastic combination of animation and real life acting in Disney's Who Framed Roger Rabbit, one of the best Disney Films of all time!

Who Framed Roger Rabbit

ho Framed Roger Rabbit is one of those Adult Disney films. as Disney movies go it is still watchable by children, however there are hundreds of 'little moments' which the kids will miss, and the adults will burst out laughing for.

I have to admit, in my younger days Who Framed Roger Rabbit was not anywhere near my top ten Disney Films. In my teens however I soon changed my opinion of this films, with the jokes coming in faster, and the storyline being a bit more palatable to my tastes!

While Who Framed Roger Rabbit might not be the best Children's Disney film out there, it is great for adolescents and adults, and it is surprisingly cheap Disney DVD release makes it easy to get a hold of!

while it may not be the best children's Disney DVD, it is an iconic Disney movie which has a huge amount of entertainment value!

Best Disney Films

Honey I Shrunk the Kids is a brilliantly imaginative Disney Films.
Honey I Shrunk the Kids is a brilliantly imaginative Disney Films.

Honey I Shrunk the Kids

One of the best Disney movies of all time has to be Honey I Shrunk the Kids. A brilliantly imaginative tale around a crackpot inventors strange device. One day a series of events lead the inventors children and their friends up to the loft, where they accidentally activate an ingenious shrink ray.

The kids, now shrunk to a quarter of an inch tall, embark on an adventure through the garden in an attempt to get their parents attention, and their size restored. This wonderful Disney film brings in a great amount of imagination as the young children face adventure through grass four times larger than htem, insects which loom over them, and even Cherios.

The wonderful Disney film Honey I Shrunk the Kids, and it's sequel Honey I Blew Up the Kid are brilliant Disney films filled with adventure, laughs and just a little bit of sadness.

Best Children's Disney DVD

The Little Mermaid is one of the best girls Disney movies.
The Little Mermaid is one of the best girls Disney movies.

The Little Mermaid

The Little Mermaid has become a classic girl's Disney film, which has become known as the first chick flick for women around the globe. Despite it being a Girls Disney film primarily, it does still have a fantastic story behind it which the whole family, young boys included, will enjoy.

The story of the Disney move the Little Mermaid is that of a young mermaid princess, who dreams of life above the waves, and soon falls for the human Prince Eric. Of course, no Disney movie would be complete with out a villain, and i have to admit that the tentacled sea witch Ursula is probably one of my favorite Disney villains!

Ursula hatches a devious plot to control the seas, by giving Ariel a chance to fulfill her dreams, at a terrible cost if things fail.

As well as having a rather brilliant storyline the Little Mermaid is filled with a series of fantastic memorable songs which your young girls will love!

The Disney Films from the 70s' and 80s'

The 70s' and 80s' might have been a bit slow, but they have produced some amazing Disney movies. Even with small amount of space I have to write about, there are plenty of other Disney films which I haven't managed to fit in here.

Personally my favorite Disney film era will be the early years. I have put these in to my Best Disney Movies Part One which covers the 30s' to the 60s' with some of the best Disney films ever made!
