Vegan Yorkshire Puddings Recipe
Vegan Yorkshire Pudding Recipe
When my girlfriend (Vegan Chef Jade Pleming) first moved over here from the States one of the first Yorkshire foods that really caught her eye was the Yorkshire pudding. This amazing simple food was however unfortunately not Vegan, with a little tweaking however she soon got a great vegan recipe for this fantastic Yorkshire Dish!
This Recipe was posted on her Amazing Vegan Recipes Blog!
This recipe for vegan Yorkshire puddings can be used to make 4 large Vegan Yorkshire Puddings or 12 Small Vegan Yorkshire puddings. THis depends entirely on the tray you use, a small pudding tray will usually accommodate space for 12 whereas a large pudding tray will have space for 4!
But lets get started, to make Vegan Yorkshire Puddings you will need:
8 oz Self-raising flour
pinch of salt
1t Lemon juice (fresh if you have it!)
1/2 pt Vegan Soy Yogurt (unsweetened plain flavor)
1/2 pt Vegan Soy Milk (unsweetened)
Simply whisk all your ingredients together, and maybe add a few extra SMALL drops of soy milk just to make the batter a little runny. Then pour youir yorksire pudding pan or baking tray and put theminto the oven!
You’ll want to cook your vegan yorkshire puddings at about 350 fahrenheit (180 C) for roughly 15 - 20 minutes. Make sure they are nice and golden brown on top. They will start to rise a bit in the oven and then sink when you pull them out. You might want to cut one of your vegan yorskhire puddingsopen to make sure the inside is not still uncooked, which can ruin the texture of your vegan yorkshire pudding recipe. Everyone’s oven is a little bit different, andit can be very easy to over or undercook your vegan yorkshire puddings, so you might want to do a trial run or two to find out exactly what works best for you!
And there you have it, your very own Vegan Yorkshire puddings with this gorgeous vegan yorkshire pudding recipe!!
